Garlic Barrier
Garlic has been used since ancient times to repel insect pests. Garlic Barrier contains only garlic oil and water. It offers farmers and gardeners an easy-to-use alternative to chemical insecticides. Spray plants early in the season before insects have arrived because product will not disperse existing infestations. Four to eight applications per year can be made at ten day intervals. Pints and quarts are a weaker concentration than gallons. Mix pints and quarts using 1 part Garlic Barrier to 10 parts water. Mix gallons using 1 part Garlic Barrier to 100 parts water. Also effective at repelling mosquitoes. Mix as above and spray yard, trees, shrubs and brush around your home. Mosquitoes are repelled for up to 3 months. Sound too good to be true? Mosquito Beater by Bonide Products is a remarkable product in a easy-to-use shaker container, or hose-end sprayer. I personally love this product - especially when I take the family camping. I look out the car window at all those other folks spraying foggers, trying their best to repel the mosquitoes, gnats, black flies, etc, and I just sprinkle a little of this on the perimeter of the campsite, sit back and enjoy my vacation! Mosquito Dunks
These floating donut-shaped briquettes slowly release B.t. var. israelensis for effective biocontrol of mosquito and blackfly larvae wherever water accumulates. Each dunk will last at least 30 days and is not affected by alternate wetting and drying. Use one dunk/100 sf in lakes, ponds, birdbaths or rain barrels - any place water collects for more than a week.
